Not confirmed: Galaxy S27 Ultra
There is no announced chip, camera system, battery capacity, price or release date. Based on the Ultra line's history, buyers generally expect a very large flat OLED panel, flagship Qualcomm or Exynos silicon, a periscope telephoto with long optical reach, S Pen support and an expanded Galaxy AI suite. None of that is verified. We will update this page with a real table when Samsung publishes one.
How to choose a big-screen flagship in Nigeria

Battery and heat. In Nigerian conditions the phone that survives a long day without throttling wins. Apple's combination of the biggest battery claim it has made plus a vapour chamber three times larger is a strong position. Samsung's Ultra models have also historically been endurance leaders.
Zoom versus aperture. If you shoot from the back of a hall, Samsung's periscope zoom tradition matters more. If you shoot in poor light and need to prove authenticity, the iPhone's variable aperture and Apple Reference Image matter more.
The pen. If you take handwritten notes, mark up documents or sign contracts on the screen, no iPhone replaces the S Pen.
Repairs. Both cost serious money here. Independent repairers in Nigeria are generally more comfortable with Samsung parts, and Pro-series iPhone screens are among the most expensive to replace. See screen replacement costs.
Resale. iPhones move faster and closer to asking price in the Nigerian used market.
SIM. Apple sells eSIM-only Pro Max units in twelve markets including the US, and Nigeria is not one of them, so an imported American unit may have no tray. Samsung units sold here keep theirs. Read our SIM guide.
The practical advice
If you need a big phone today: the iPhone 18 Pro Max is the confirmed choice, and the battery claims alone justify it over the outgoing generation. Compare with the 17 Pro Max before you pay.
If you are a Samsung person: do not buy the outgoing Ultra at full price while a successor is unannounced but expected. Either negotiate hard on the current model or wait.
If ₦2.9 million is not really available: say so out loud, and then look at what is. Our whole catalogue sits between ₦60,000 and ₦500,000, and the best of it is genuinely good:
